THE VILLA
Villa Poggio Fibbia is located less than 1 km from the village of Radicofani (Siena), in Val d'Orcia. This area has been included in the UNESCO´s World Heritage Sites List, and is the real icon of Tuscany's most beautiful landscape. Radicofani´s famous Ghino di Tacco is mentioned by Dante in his "La Divina Commedia", and by Bocaccio in "Decameron" . The village is famous for its impressive castle and for being a millenary passage of the Via Francigena and a fixed step - since 1927 -until nowadays of the legendary car race "Mille Miglia", of which Enzo Ferrari said it was "the most beautiful race in the world".
In the area, less than 30 km around the Villa, are grown some of Italy´s finest wines like Brunello di Montalcino and Nobile di Montepulciano.
The village has restaurants, bars, supermarkets and a pharmacy. All of them are only a 15 minutes walk or less than five minutes away by car.
Villa Poggio Fibbia is a centennary farmhouse, built in Radicofani´s stone, which during four years has undergone a complete renovation, carried out with full respect for its historical and artistic values. The interior of the villa includes furniture, paintings and unique objects from all over the world; "al fresco" paintings decorate many of its walls...
As the villa is located on a hilltop, its panoramic views over Val d'Orcia and also Val di Paglia are truly privileged.
